The fall season is associated with the metal element. The lungs and colon are also associated with it. The theme of fall is letting go of what no longer serves, letting it rot, and become something new. Release of old identities, belief systems, habits, thought processes, addictions, and attachments are part of a healthy life. Everything takes in nourishment, and poops out waste. This is also true on an emotional level. What are things that you look forward to letting go this season? What old identities have you had to shed to get to where you are now?
