Pain on the outside of your knee that shows up mid-run or on longer efforts? šŸƒā€ā™‚ļø That pattern is often IT band syndrome…a common overuse issue tied to how the hip and knee are working together under load.

It usually builds gradually, not suddenly, which is why it’s often pushed through until it lingers.

Save this if lateral knee pain has been creeping in, or share it with someone who keeps running through it.

Pain in one very specific spot that gets worse the more you train? 🦓 A stress fracture is different from general soreness…it’s a bone overload injury that usually builds gradually from repetitive impact.

Catching it early is important. Save this for reference if you train regularly, or share it with someone who keeps trying to ā€œpush throughā€ localized pain.

Most injuries don’t start with a big moment.
They start with something small that gets ignored.

Persistent soreness, sharp pain, or discomfort that keeps coming back is your body asking for attention. Pushing through it might get you through one workout—but it can cost you weeks (or longer) if it turns into a real injury.

Catching issues early is one of the most overlooked parts of staying active long-term.

Send this to someone who keeps training through pain.

What you’re seeing is the planning phase of a robotic-assisted total knee replacement using the Stryker Mako system.

This screen shows a 3D model of the patient’s femur and tibia, created from a preoperative CT scan. The blue areas represent the planned placement of the implants, while the green lines help guide alignment and ensure proper orientation relative to the patient’s anatomy.

šŸ‘‰šŸ¼Using this technology, the surgeon can make highly customized adjustments before any bone is cut—optimizing component position, balance, and joint mechanics.

The robotic arm then assists in executing these cuts with sub-millimeter accuracy, enhancing precision, preserving bone, and often improving recovery outcomes. šŸŽÆ

This young patient sustained a hip fracture that went untreated for nearly two years — a missed injury that never healed.

Without access to healthcare or insurance, he never went to the ER. He relied on crutches and kept working, unknowingly walking on a broken hip. Over time, the unhealed fracture led to severe cartilage breakdown and joint collapse — he was essentially left without a functioning hip.

To restore joint function, a porous, press-fit acetabular shell is implanted to recreate the socket and provide stable fixation for the new femoral head.

My Story

At age 17, I underwent the first of 8 surgeries that would be performed on my knee. When I was 21, I was told that I would never be able to run or jump again without significant disability. I left that surgeons office in tears and was emotionally devastated. By the time I was 27, I was told my knee was close to ā€œbone on Boneā€ and that I needed more surgery. I was driven to search, find, and try anything that worked. My extensive research in non-surgical Regenerative Medicine gave me access to the most advanced and modern treatments. Some failed and some succeeded. By personally experiencing the trials and tribulations of these treatments, I truly have first-hand experience on what works and what doesn’t. Exploring treatments like Stem Cells, PRP, Hyaluronic Acid injections, acupuncture, chiropractic, holistic, etc… I learned that surgery is NOT always the only answer. That through a multi-modal approach, including both traditional and non-traditional methods, I can tackle tough chronic conditions like Osteoarthritis and associated chronic injuries. I am now in my forties and have never been healthier. I’m an avid hiker, biker, and mountaineer. I set high goals for myself and my patients and I am very confident that through my multi-modal approach we can achieve anything.
