This isn't one of those 'rah-rah, go-get-'em!' posts where I'm shouting, "Hey, it's the second day of 2024, so you better hustle through your push-up challenge, go full throttle with that whole 30, ditch caffeine, launch your passion project, Marie Kondo your closets, and Marie Curie your computer, all before the day's over!" We've seen more than our fair share of those over the past few days.

No, this is me sending you a virtual hug to wish you a Happy New Year.

Wherever you find yourself today and however you're feeling in this very moment, remember, you're right on track.

I'm proud of you.

Some years, the arrival of the New Year ignites a fire within me, and I ride that wave like a pro, accomplishing heaps and feeling like a rockstar. Other years, well, let's just say it's more of a slow burn.

In those 'slow burn' years, I've discovered that the best thing is to honor myself and how I feel in the now, and move toward authenticity from that place without hesitation.

I've learned that when I tend to my mind, body, and heart and give them the rest they so desperately need, I can tap into the deepest, quietest part of myself. It's the part that doesn't spin itself dizzy with thoughts of not doing enough, not being enough, or not measuring up.

When I close my eyes to meditate, I reconnect with my true self, who is already whole, completely at ease, and finds happiness as the baseline. I remind myself that my Beingness is more than complete already, regardless of the date on the calendar or the items I've checked off my to-do list.

The beginning is always today. The beginning is always in the now.

Wishing you a Happy New Year filled with pure easy and joy. Join me in taking it easy this week and see what unfolds naturally for you, will you?

Sending all my love,
Susan ❤️
