So many people think speech therapy is just about helping a child “say more words,” but language development touches so much more than that.
Research has shown that a child’s vocabulary around age 2 is linked to later school readiness, self-regulation, and academic skills by the time they reach kindergarten.
That does not mean every child who is slower to talk will struggle later on. But it does mean early language matters, and when support is needed, getting help early can be incredibly meaningful.
If your child is having difficulty expressing themselves, understanding language, following directions, or communicating clearly, it may be worth taking a closer look sooner rather than later.
Early support is not about pressure. It is about giving your child tools, confidence, and a stronger foundation. 🤍
