🌿🍊 From Blossoms to Mandarins 🍊🌿

Remember back in May when I got this little mandarin tree and shared how excited I was to start gardening? Well… look at these babies now 😭💛 Almost fully grown! Watching them come to life has been such a sweet reminder that growth takes time, patience, and consistent care.

Just like with our health journeys, the small, steady actions we take each day might not show “results” right away, but beneath the surface, so much is happening. 🌱

You water, you nurture, you trust. And then one day… you notice fruit. 🍊✨

So here’s to celebrating slow growth…in our gardens, in our bodies, and in our lives!

🌊 Yesterday, on my walk along the beach, I stumbled upon a beginners volleyball meetup. What struck me most was the joy, laughter, and yes, a little awkwardness of people trying something new for the very first time.

✨ There’s real courage in being a beginner. Science even backs this up: research shows that learning new skills as adults keeps our brains more adaptable (neuroplasticity), boosts confidence, and can even increase overall life satisfaction.

💡 As a health coach, I see how often we hold ourselves back out of fear of “not being good” at something. But here’s the truth: every expert was once a beginner. Read that again! Everyone starts somewhere and eventually, we gain the skills to get better and more skilled. ✨The bravery to show up matters more than the outcome.

So—what’s one new thing you’ve been curious to try? Big or small, let yourself be a beginner. That’s where growth begins. 🌱

Even health coaches have weeks where life wins. 🙋‍♀️

Between summer schedules, getting the kids to and from camps, activities, and hang outs (apparently it’s “cringe” to call it playdates when your kids are older lol) , travel, and just trying to manage all the things, my workouts took a back seat these past few weeks.

And you know what? That’s life. It happens.

But here’s the thing I remind my clients (and myself): every day is a new day. You don’t have to wait until Monday, or the first of the month, or “when things calm down” (spoiler: they rarely do 😉).

So today, I showed up for myself again. I moved my body. And it felt good.

If you’ve fallen off your routine—whether it’s exercise, eating well, or getting enough sleep—this is your gentle nudge: you can start again today. One small step is all it takes to get back in rhythm. 💪

Getting dressed and showing up is 90% of the workout.

We all know that once we’re there—in the studio, on the mat, at the gym—we give it our all.

But getting out of our own way? That’s the real challenge.

Today I felt the resistance.
NEW studio. NEW people. NEW class. Some nerves.
But I showed up anyway.

At the end of my yoga class, I reached for a block—and carved into it were the words:
“practice on.”

A quiet little reminder that growth isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up, over and over again. Even when it’s hard. ESPECIALLY when it’s hard.

So here’s your nudge: whatever it is you’re working on—your health, your healing, your habits—
✨ Practice on. ✨

🌿✨ Today, I took a little break from the hustle and headed to the garden center — and it was exactly what my nervous system needed. There’s something so calming about being surrounded by green, fresh air, and new life.

I came home with a beautiful mandarin tree to add to my patio, and honestly, just the act of choosing it and imagining it thriving brought me such peace.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or out of sync, I encourage you to find those simple activities that feel good and help your nervous system reset. Maybe it’s gardening, a walk in nature, gentle yoga, or even just sitting quietly with a cup of tea.

Your body and mind will thank you. 💚

🌟 Try Something New! 🌟
Today I played pickleball for the very first time — and I loved it! 🏓💥

We got out as a family, laughed a ton, and moved our bodies in a whole new way. It reminded me how energizing (and humbling 😅) it can be to try something outside your comfort zone.

As a health coach, I’m always encouraging others to explore movement that feels fun and sustainable — and today was a great reminder to take my own advice.

✨ You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to show up and play.

What’s something new you’ve tried lately? Or something you’ve been wanting to try but haven’t yet?
