Dr. Gish will present his talk "HDV: reflex testing, status of anti-HDV & RNA testing in NA" during Session 2 "Diagnostics with the goal of increasing treatment."
Dr. Robert Gish has an extensive background in liver health and hepatitis research. He began his academic journey in Pharmacy School and obtained his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical School. Dr. Gish completed his residency at the University of California, San Diego, and a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a fellow of several prestigious organizations and has served on the editorial boards of numerous journals. Dr. Gish has co-authored public health policies for liver health in various countries and has published over 700 articles, abstracts, and book chapters. Currently, he is the Medical Director of the Hepatitis B Foundation and holds various academic and clinical positions, including Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Nevada Schools of Medicine and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University. Dr. Gish also sees patients at various clinics and serves as a Board Member of the Viet Nam Viral Hepatitis Alliance.
