Controlling the Silent Killer ❤️

High blood pressure, or hypertension, is very common and often has no symptoms. It can lead to serious health problems like stroke, heart attack, and kidney disease. That’s why it’s called the “silent killer.”

🩺 The only way to know is to check your blood pressure.

📞 If it’s been a year or more since your last check in; schedule an appointment today.

Know your numbers. Take control. Live healthier.

Hear from people who had a hard time accepting they had high blood pressure, but are doing a great to manage it - https://dhs.lacounty.gov/our-services/patient-education/blood-pressure-resources/ #1749848983325-a9aa1a42-9eea

April is Autism Acceptance Month 💙

This month, we celebrate the strengths, talents, and special ways autistic people see the world. We also encourage kindness, understanding, and inclusion.

Let’s celebrate these differences and help create a world where everyone feels valued, supported, and included.

“We’re tackling the overdose crisis in our community by connecting people to the care they need to get healthy. From the basics like showers & food to treatment, we meet people where they are. No judgements, just the respect they deserve so they can heal. ByLAforLA.org”

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Most LA Health Services patients get a FIT kit every year to check for colon cancer. It is a simple test you can do at home 🏠 It checks for hidden blood in your stool.
You can get a FIT kit at your clinic, pick one up at the lab, or have it mailed to you 📬
How it works:
1️⃣ Collect a small stool sample with the kit 🧪
2️⃣ Return it to the lab by mail ✉️ or drop it off 🏥
A small step like this can help find problems early 💙
