Grateful for this reminder from and Adriana to pause and reflect on moments of pride from 2025 🤎

As I step into 2026, I’m taking time to honor three moments from 2025 that I feel deeply proud of.

✨ First, I’m proud to have facilitated two impactful events in my home county, Ventura County, continuing my commitment to LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed care and community supports.
• One event centered on educating professionals on trauma-informed, LGBTQ-affirming practices.
• The second focused on providing on-site mental health support to Ventura County youth.

✨ Lastly, I’m honored to be part of the work at , collaborating with the incredible owners and to further expand and strengthen LGBTQ+ affirming treatment and recovery spaces.

🌈 November is Transgender Awareness Month — a time to honor, uplift, and advocate for the transgender community. In therapy and beyond, it’s essential to create spaces where trans and gender-diverse individuals feel seen, safe, and celebrated.

As clinicians, we can deepen our awareness by reflecting on our biases, affirming pronouns, and holding space for authentic identity exploration. Every step toward inclusion strengthens collective healing.

As a culturally affirming, trauma-informed therapist, I want to hold space for the fear, grief, and rage many are experiencing due to recent I.C.E. raids, illegal deportations, and the ongoing criminalization of migration.

We resist. But we must also rest.
We fight. But we also need to feel.
