The Plug is a collective of all substance abuse programs of APLA Health in South Los Angeles, CA. Th

These programs aim to provide harm and risk reduction services to men who have sex with men (MSM), who might be experimenting with or using drugs. With the understanding that MSM (especially men of color) could benefit from our services; including areas other than just sexual health. Our programs offer options that vary from one on one sessions, a weekly virtual educational segment (Plug on Drugs)

, and in-person or virtual groups and workshops. Wherein, we address substance use and abuse, mental and physical health, and empowering candidates to strengthen their decision-making skills; leading them to create and work towards their personal goals. Through these programs, we have been able to provide information to an area of Los Angeles, CA that often lacks resources and options for better health. The staff and a selection of participants will work together to create both in-person and virtual activities as well as events that promote our mission and best serve those individuals who desperately need the resources. Our programs focus on HIV-negative and positive young men of color (black and Latino) ages 18-24, but also offer services to MSM of any age or race, who have used crystal meth within the last six months.
