We had our annual Secret Santa the other day and I was ’s, and knowing she is a mega lover of all things dark chocolate I knew immediately that A) I wanted to handcraft something for her, and B) it was going to be chocolate scented 😂. I ended up creating a chocolate bar soap with cocoa powder and activated charcoal, and a whipped soap sugar scrub using the same ingredients (both vegan).

The bar soap didn’t go as planned and some of the cocoa powder and activated charcoal ended up sinking to the bottom, but it was a happy accident because it turned out to look like cookie bits so I vibed with that and named it “Final Girl Fudge” (OK, it might not have been fudge but I’m a sucker for alliteration lol). The whipped soap looked so good as it was whipping, it took all of my strength to try and not eat it because it really looked like chocolate mousse (I do not recommend eating soap, no matter how good it looks). I named that one of my”Midnight Mousse” and I was so happy with how they both turned out, happy accidents and all, that I think I want to add these in my product lineup. I just wish I took more pics of the final product!

Hi friends! It’s been a (long) minute. Chronic illness + life changes + creative rebirth took over the majority of 2025 and I rotated between working and sleeping/resting, with barely any time or energy to crawl out of my hole and be social (aka mask). Trying to find even more time and energy to be regularly present on social media has been a perpetual uphill battle, both on my personal account and on this one but after a huge creative burst I had this fall that lead to planning a rebrand, I made a promise to myself that in 2026 I would commit to, at the very least, one post/story a week to start!

That being said, here’s what’s been happening behind the curtain:

✨ I’ve been going through a pretty intense autoimmune flare that seems to have lasted almost a year now. I have a very sneaking suspicion some of it might be due to some early signs of perimenopause though, so that’s been fun 😅🙃. ✨ I signed on as a producer on an upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer documentary (still screaming and crying over how excited I am). If you know me, you know BtVS is not only my favorite show of all time, but a show that I have been a fan of since it first aired and it has quite literally changed my life. If you’re a fellow Scoobie, go give a follow!  ✨ Lost 50+ pounds by intuitive eating and scaling waaay back (to almost 0) on the sugar and alcohol 💪. It’s been incredibly difficult, especially given that I’m not able to fully exercise anymore, but my goodness do I feel a whole lot better in so many different ways just due to my gut not being inflammed and burdened 24/7.
✨ Vended at some amazing craft fairs. Speaking of which - my next one will be 12/21 at ! More info to come🌿.  ✨ Renewed my nutritionist certification, got certified in aromatherapy, and currently working on getting certified as a clinical herbalist.  ✨ Been working like a full-time goblin crafting new products and…I’M FINALLY LAUNCHING MY WEBSITE 🔥. I don’t have a specific launch date yet, but it’s currently in the works.

Happy New Year, friends! 🎆

Looking at my top 9, I notice that they represent maybe 80% of the total posts I made on this account in 2023 (I added a second bonus pic from the last event I vended at, I just forgot to post it 😅). And that's OK! In the beginning of 2023, one of my resolutions with The Chronic Creatrix was to not be consumed by social media and place so much importance on it, which I know can be extremely difficult and sounds counterintuitive as an online business. I fully understand the importance of marketing and having a consistent online presence in order to keep growing, but I also understand the importance of self care and not pushing beyond your means in order to prevent burn-out. It's a fine balance, it truly is lol. However, one of my main goals with TCC in 2024 is to be a little more present, and to get over the mental hurdle of always feeling that if I'm going to post, it needs to be "perfect" or have a whole elaborate essay attached to it 😂.

Going forward , expect more tarot content, as well as herbalism & nutrition, witchcraft, spirituality, tips for creatives and chronic illness support, and my jewelry/apothecary creations, infused with slightly more of a spooky, occult, horror-loving edge 👻.

🌿 I'm an alternative health practitioner focusing on functional nutrition and herbalism, and holistic and spiritual wellness. I'm also a tarot reader, intuitive empath, eclectic witch, actor, and comedy burlesque performer 🔮 🎭

💜 I live with invisible illness and have a whole long list of autoimmune and other chronic conditions such as psoriatic arthritis, CFS/ME, fibromyalgia, PCOS, POTS, and degenerative disc disease (just to name a few 😅).

🧡 Living with chronic illness while trying to thrive as an off-beat creative inspired me to want to help other similar creatives on their journey towards healing through a combination of clinical, spiritual & mystical approaches. Thus, The Chronic Creatrix was born.✨

🎃 I'm also a lifelong, MASSIVE horror buff and lover of all things spooky! The horror genre is a part of my DNA at this point; so much so, that part of the reason I've been quiet on here lately is because I have been working on restructuring The Chronic Creatrix to ultimately include more of my muggle self (for lack of a better term lol) and incorporate more of the spooky stuff into the mix for my fellow spooky creatives 👻. Later down the line, I plan to open a sister shop and create horror-themed products!
