Low back pain is very common and affects 4 out of 5 working adults.

Muscle release and emotional release can go hand in hand, and they're super common during your stretch session. We often don’t have time to really tap into our emotions during our day-to-day, but when you lay on my table, you focus on the internal for once. 🤍

Our myofascial tissue, or the connective tissue around our muscles, is a sensory organ, and this tissue actually contains sensory nerves, which means that emotions can be stored in our muscles. By stretching your muscles, you release all the trapped emotions during “somato-emotional release” (“soma” stands for body). Sometimes even trauma. You also opening your chakras 🪬

The most common question my clients ask is if they should stretch prior a workout. The answer is always NO. Static stretching before a workout can decrease your performance! Your muscles must be like a spring to work out, not like a noodle after a stretch

The best type of stretching to do before is dynamic stretching. These are stretches that include movement in them, like squats, lunges and burpees.
Assisted or static stretching is ideal after your workout or next day.

Some of my clients noticed lately that they feel lethargic and crave comfort foods. Remember we are still in the coldest month of winter. Everything about you changes – and you need to let it happen. 🌥️

Winter is a time to enjoy the pleasures of solitude, to dream and contemplate. It opens up a space in which you can mass your energies, to restore and repair. You want to eat cooked food instead of raw, comforting carbs over fresh flavours. And that’s fine. Listen to your body. 🥘

I’ve learned to find my own way through winter though. I also seek moments of light and heat to keep my spirits high. 🧿

Remember to mix your periods of hibernation with some movement to move the energy in your body. 🪬😌

He ended up at Nike because he had no other choice.

How Does Stretching Benefit You Mentally? 😌

While the physical advantages of stretching are well documented, the mental benefits — like increasing your self-awareness — are always have been the goal to achieve with you. 🌱

I want to help you better understand your emotional landscape that lives inside the body. 🔑

It can be helpful in igniting the parasympathetic nervous system, which is part of the autonomic nervous system that’s responsible for feeling more at ease to help improve your sleep, breathing, heart, and digestion, and overall, help you feel less stressed. It’s called somatic experience. 🧬

By concentrating on how you feel during the session, you can shed that pent-up emotional pain, helping your body to release muscular and fascial patterns of tension, stress, and trauma. 🪬
