Anxiety shows up to protect you. Get to know the anxious part of your mind. It has your back ❤️🧠

If you’re feeling any level of anxiety, remember - this too shall pass 😌

Gentle reminder: The thoughts that stress you out are not always based on facts. They’re based on your own interpretation of a situation or circumstance, and the stories you tell yourself can directly impact how you feel 😱➡️😌

Here are a few ways to engage with your thoughts a little differently:
- Name your thought (out loud or to yourself)
- Name your thought again, but in the voice of your favorite celebrity or character. If you giggle a little, go with it! It gives you a moment to be present with yourself and creates much needed space between you and your thought(s)
- Approach your thoughts with gentleness and curiosity. For example - “I wonder why I’m thinking I’m a bad friend?”
- Try your best not to judge the thoughts, or judge yourself for having them. Instead of “Why am I thinking this?” consider saying, “There’s a reason I’m thinking this way.” 💭❤️

If you’re aware you’re putting something off, there’s usually a reason you’re doing it. Awareness is the first step to finding a solution ✨

Ask yourself why you’re saving it until later or tomorrow so you can find a way to meet that need in a way that serves you better. Here are some examples:

1. “I’m tired” - ask yourself if you need more rest, to do some self care, or to ask for help
2. “I’m overwhelmed” - make a list, prioritize, and give yourself space to take breaks when you tackle your task
3. “I won’t do well,” or “I wont succeed” - if you challenge yourself to try it anyway, you might surprise yourself in a good way. Reward yourself for doing a great job! If you get stuck, remember it’s okay to ask for help
4. “It’s not something I enjoy doing” - ask yourself how you’ll feel after getting it done, or determine what activities you can limit to support your focus & accountability
5. “I don’t know where to start” - set small goals and break up your big tasks into smaller tasks. Set realistic expectations

If this resonates with you, I encourage you to ask yourself what tools will work for you 🛠️🤓

We can’t always plan for what comes next, and that’s okay! You deserve to give yourself space to let go of what you can’t control, or gently nudge away the urge to control what you don’t have to. Embrace that extra space to breathe, relax, and engage in life 😌💃🏻

If the step you take feels scary or uncomfortable, ask yourself what would help you lean into the discomfort versus run from it - like creating a safety zone filled with coping skills, sources of support, and other resources that will help you brave the new terrain 🥾

Whether what transpires when you step out of your zone goes exactly as you expected or differently than planned, you have a beautiful opportunity to look inward, evaluate what works for you, and learn about yourself 🤓🧠

This is a loving reminder that your best is more than enough 😌

So you didn’t finish everything on your to-do list. That’s okay! Give yourself grace. Whatever you didn’t finish will be there for you tomorrow. Resting will give you the opportunity to put your best foot forward in the coming days. You deserve to rest and recharge those physical, mental, and emotional batteries 🪫🔋
