đş Woman with Flower
by Naomi Long Madgett
I wouldnât coax the plant if I were you.
Such watchful nurturing may do it harm.
Let the soil rest from so much digging
And wait until itâs dry before you water it.
The leafâs inclined to find its own direction;
Give it a chance to seek the sunlight for itself.
Much growth is stunted by too careful prodding, Too eager tenderness.
The things we love we have to learn to leave alone.
a reminder to live and let live. we are all on our own unique paths. to think we know better for others is an illusion upheld by our egosâ need to feel wise, important, in control.
love from a distance when necessary and allow your judgements to be watered by the knowing that all is purposeful, unfolding as intended for a reason beyond your current awareness.
love you,
mad
