Take the time to look for a trustworthy doctor in your area or who works virtually. I have a list on my website of peer to peer recommendations that moved the needle for my followers, like of has done for so many. There are some really great ones out there, so don’t lose hope. Here are some signs of an overactive nervous system: rapid heart rate, constant anxiety, stomach issues, frequent colds or illness, consistent sleep issues, brain fog, and mental overdrive. You can be doing all the "right" things but they cannot out-work the overriding nervous system. It keeps the immune system depleted. Take a moment to ask yourself this question: If a stranger met you and followed you for a day (and could hear your silent thoughts), what one word would they use to describe your general mood? Comment your one word below.

If you need help with an overwhelmed nervous system, try vagus nerve exercises and listen to the Lyme Time Podcast with guest Dr. Cathleen King. https://bit.ly/2SDzgqt

The little things make me happiest. Don’t forget your vagus nerve work which includes activities like knitting or walking in nature to take you out of fight or flight. Don’t forget to keep these within reach and always take a few moments a few times each day to decompress. What’s one of your go-to’s?

Where are all my “anti-barro” friends?! These changes in weather used to hit me hard. The best places to live if you’re sensitive are Santa Barbara, San Francisco, LA, Honolulu, and #1 is San Diego. The more you know! Have you been sensitive in this area during your journey? Btw, I a riding my bike at the same time so don’t worry about my shallow breath! I’m good!

Yeah, well, there's the loss of your old self. The goodbyes to old friends who lack understanding. The pain of letting go of the past, unsure of the future. The loneliness is layered with debilitation, desolation, with wisps of relief and surrender sprinkled throughout. We rely on family and friends but mostly, at the end of the day, ourselves. Have your grief. Let it out. Feel it all. I always say, try not to stay there too long. Get up, get dressed, hold your own, and take a step. You can always come back. What was one of your biggest losses?

Reposting this video to say Thank You to (from ) for raising awareness about Lyme disease. Lyme affects the entire family and it’s very difficult to understand unless it’s happening to you. It’s a balancing act for sure. What is the first thing you do when you feel a flare coming on?💚

I love when a bug flies in my face when posting about bugs. 😂 Thank you for surveying these pesky guys. The name of the game is being AWARE. Ticks can live up to 3 weeks inside the home, especially in higher piled carpet. Use the .mitt to help safely wipe down animals (and humans) after outside activity. Stay vigilant. 💚

I never knew there was a mystical side of Judaism that aligns so much with my healing philosophy. This episode of the Lyme Time Podcast features Rabbi Melinda Bernstein who walks me through the meaning of Kabbalah acting as the “soul” of the Jewish religion and provides symbolic, spiritual interpretations of the Torah to understand the divine attributes and human existence.
There are bound to be many times during your journey when taking responsibility aids in your healing, embracing your purpose, and realizing you are still a valuable part of this world. Is it easy or difficult to allow yourself to be loved? Looking at your soul wounds is powerful stuff.
How triggering are these words as you say them out loud? Grief, Forgiveness, Marital issues, Rage. To look beyond your illness takes great bravery…but I know you can do it. Peek at how you tackle issues like Food Issues, Hormones, Creativity, and Sexuality...and gain understanding the WHY of it all. Help yourself move from contraction to expansion by listening to this powerful episode.
