COMPRESSION HOSE
Compression hose, also known as compression stockings or support stockings, can help with varicose veins by improving blood circulation in the legs.
Varicose veins occur when the valves in the veins become weak or damaged, causing blood to pool in the veins and leading to swollen and twisted veins. Compression stockings work by applying pressure to the legs, which helps to improve blood flow and prevent blood from pooling in the veins.
The pressure applied by the compression stockings is strongest at the ankle and gradually decreases as the stocking goes up the leg. This graduated compression helps to push blood back up towards the heart, which can reduce swelling and discomfort in the legs.
Wearing compression stockings regularly can also help to prevent the development of new varicose veins and can provide relief for symptoms such as pain, heaviness, and fatigue in the legs.
It's important to note that while compression stockings can help manage symptoms and prevent the progression of varicose veins, they do not cure the condition. If you are experiencing significant discomfort or have concerns about your varicose veins, it's important to speak with your healthcare provider to discuss appropriate treatment options.
