Oh boy…I thought moving to Texas meant no more snow. 🤣✌️ I know Koa will be happy at least. lol
This is downright alarming, and there is now enough model agreement to sound the alarm bells. A widespread swath of ice accretion is expected, ranging from around a half inch farther west to a 1200 plus mile corridor of 1 to 2 inches of ice across the Deep South and the Atlantic coast. This storm will be crippling. It will cause major impacts, and everyone needs to take this seriously.
Dallas, Texarkana, Shreveport, Jackson MS, Birmingham AL, Atlanta GA, and Columbia SC are all in the bullseye for a crippling winter storm, and this is just the ice component.
I will have a new post out shortly covering the snow side of this system. Some areas that typically struggle with only a few inches of snow could see over a foot. We are looking at one of the most significant winter storms we have seen in many, many years.
