The relationship we have with our health and wellness is our responsibility.
And, some of the meanings and beliefs we have about food, diet, exercise, and our relationship with our body are not our fault.
Somewhere along the way, for many of us, our emotional needs weren't being met and we fulfilled them with food and or our body and what we expected from it. Most of this is from clever marketing from the food, diet, and exercise industries.
Aren't you tired and overwhelmed by what you should and shouldn’t eat to be healthy and lose weight? Or which new diet fad actually works long term?
I want the quick fix just as much as anyone even though I know it wasn't quick to put on the weight. It took years to get to my highest weight. But, I also wanted it to work permanently.
I didn't want to have to try something else or new. I wanted a lifestyle change that was adaptable to me. I wanted my confidence back.
I wanted my energy back and to no longer feel bad for eating something or worrying what the side effects would be on my health the next day and in 20 years from now.
We’re going to think about food. It is a basic need and it keeps us alive. Our thoughts about food, health, and our bodies should be more consciously aware and empowering. What does our body need to support us now and in the long term?
NOT a shame and guilt cycle because the diet industry told us it’s our fault for not having enough willpower or to use food to soothe us because we haven’t yet come across something else to help us heal through a difficult time.
I first found WILDFIT in the fall of 2016. At first I was concerned about trying something new to release weight around the holidays. What would I be missing out on at all the celebratory dinners and gatherings? But, I was done with feeling miserable and overwhelmed about my food choices and what was best for my overall health.
Let me tell you, while there are foods that you take a break from, I was still able to enjoy my favorite foods. AND I didn’t have any of the shame or guilt while eating them.
