As a licensed therapist, I can tell you that you are not alone

This is a topic that comes up frequently during sessions with my clients

Comparing yourself to what someone is posting 📸 is NOT fair to you 🫵

Behind those images is a human (just like you)

Someone who gets worried, who gets mad, who has a bad day, who has hopes and dreams, and someone with their own fears and insecurities

‼️Important note here is

Comparing yourself to their image can just make you feel worse about yourself 😖

Instead try to…

Spend time in the present.

Appreciate what or who you have in your life.

Work on yourself 🥰

It can be hard for many reasons but here are a few:

The idea or perspective is different from your own, healthy communication may not have been modeled to you growing up, or because of differing communication styles.

Disagreements or conflicts are something that can come up in any relationship

We probably all know what red flags 🚩🚩🚩 can be so let’s take a moment to focus on what good things you can find in a relationship

Green flags may not be as obvious as a red flags but they are important to have in a relationship

It’s important because it’s good to recognize what healthy relationships can look like too

Every relationship is unique but can look alike in many ways. For example, how you and your partner express appreciation can be different from how other couples around you express appreciation
