Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Established in 1989, Yo San University is a non-profit university that educates students to become practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Founded in 1989, Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine offers fully accredited graduate programs in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The Master of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine (MATCM) program prepares students for California acupuncture licensure and NCCAOM certifications. The advanced Doctor of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program offers specialty postgraduate clinical training in Women's Health and Healthy Aging. The university also operates a teaching clinic, providing low-cost acupuncture & TCM services to the local community. As part of the University's mission to bring offer affordable quality acupuncture and TCM care to the community, Yo San University offers collaborative and integrative acupuncture / TCM services at various clinical externship locations including the Venice Family Clinic, Being Alive Los Angeles, Wise & Healthy Aging Santa Monica, and the Wellness Center at the historic General Hospital (LAC+USC Medical Center) in Boyle Heights.

Today, we feature Senior Practitioner, Jeramy Shirely, LAc, a board certified practitioner of TCM both in California and nationally since 2016. Currently Jeramy serves as a supervisor of interns at Yo San’s Blount Community Clinic, while also maintaining a growing client list. Her many specialties include Kiiko Matsumoto style Japanese acupuncture, and support for mental and emotional wellness, internal medicine, chronic pain conditions, neurological and rehabilitative therapies, and bodywork–such as gua sha, cupping, and herbal medicine 😌📍

YSU’s Community Clinic has updated hours — the first 40 patients will be seen starting at 1:30pm to 5:00pm 🕑📍Whether you’re an acu-pro or newbie, this is the perfect time to fit in some self care — no appointment necessary 🩺 our interns are able to treat the same variety of health concerns as a typical clinic appointment — only here they use the magic of distal points (hand, foot, scalp, and ear 🤓).
