Christopher “Kid” Reid is sharing his second chance at life.

After experiencing fatigue and shortness of breath, Reid was diagnosed with heart failure at Cedars-Sinai. When medications no longer controlled his condition, physicians at the Smidt Heart Institute moved quickly to evaluate next steps and deliver care.

On Good Morning America, Reid encouraged others to listen to their bodies and seek medical attention when something feels off. Heart failure affects an estimated 6.7 million adults in the U.S., and early evaluation can make a meaningful difference in outcomes.
