Leftover rice is MAGIC 🪄

So here’s the delicious plot twist—leftover rice is actually better for you.When cooked rice cools in the fridge, part of its starch reorganizes into resistant starch.

Translation? It resists digestion in your small intestine and shows up in your colon like, “Hi, I’m here to feed the good bacteria.”

Why that matters (real facts, no fluff):

Gentler blood sugar response. Resistant starch slows glucose absorption compared to freshly cooked rice.

Gut love. It feeds beneficial microbes, which make short-chain fatty acids (like butyrate) that support gut lining integrity and inflammation balance.

Better metabolic vibes. Regular intake is associated with improved insulin sensitivity and satiety—aka fewer snacky spirals.

Nacho regular recipe 🧀

See what I did there ? This is my easy peasy high protein snack - 40g per serving - it’s a crowd pleaser and loaded with flavor!!! Takes under 15 min to whip up - which is longer than what it takes for me to dust this entire pile of goodnes!

Cottage cheese & ground beef or turkey pack a huge protein punch, avocado for healthy fats, nutritional yeast for B vitamins ans cheesy flavor and everything else is a bonus!

No plate or utensils require. Just eat from the pan and keepin it real with my FAV tortilla chips that are seed oil free and just the right crunch to scoop up the perfect bite.

Food is medicine. Food is fuel. Every meal you eat is an opportunity to either feed or fight dis/ease. Armour your body with the fuel it needs for the long haul.

Simple formula for success::

Aim for 25-30g protein per meal

Give your body 20g protein within 20 min of waking up to “signal” the troops and kick start metabolism.

Eat protein and veg first. Carbs last. And don’t skimp on the fiber ! Ladies, beans can be your best friends, trust. There’s a reason why legumes are the top common food item consumed amongst contrarians and blue zones.

Anti aging skincare in a snack!!! Sardines will take your dull skin and glow you up in no time. Add in fresh carrots and you’ve just upgraded to a full face serum in a bowl. Here’s how you make it, and trust me it’s tasty AF.

New to sardines?? This recipe makes is easy to fall in love. Start by picking a good quality tin::
Drain excess oil and mash sardines in a bowl.

Add in::

2tbs Full fat Greek yogurt
Chopped Red Onion
Chopped fresh dill
Chopped carrots
Pinch of sea salt
Drizzle of EVOO
Squeeze lemon

Spread on a thin Rye Crisp and YUM 😋 sometimes I’ll even do a drop of hot sauce if I’m feeling spicy !!!
