Alexis & I Started working together at the end of March. She had set herself with some crazy (lol, no offense) 1400 cal intake Which I knew he needed to be adjusted for the sake of creating a plan she could sustain for longer than a week or two. As I always say if you have a plan can’t sustain, you don’t have much of anything.

By mid June, she was down 11lbs and 11”.. We discussed working together on a more consistent basis to help with accountability and her performance during her lifting sessions. It’s at just one month of coaching for her to feel comfortable with maintaining her plan and putting forward her best workout performance. So, I supported her decision to fly solo and as I assumed her progress has still not yet come to a halt.

She was down 20 pounds and breaking into the 140s only scale which she has not seen in quite some time. How long is journey it seems that her confidence and knowledge of how the process works has only increased and I cannot express how proud and excited I am for her through this post but, I hope she feels as much as she possibly can from these words.

Alexis, make sure you send my regards to Jimmy and sell him I am looking forward to an update. I would love to hear how the plan
I set up for him panned out. LOL so many husbands that jump on board and macro train once they see their better half‘s making so much amazing progress with flexible dieting.

I am always here for you both if ever you should need any support, feedback or, answers. The pleasure being a part of you twos journey is all mine! Continue increasing both your mental and physical strength and I promise you know missteps will ever feel like failures again and the peaks you which will be more frequent than ever!

Transformation Tuesday: Squat Edition Nikki Hartz had this to say about her progression: "Never doubt your ability....trust the process and don't be afraid to fail."
This is 95x5 vs 165x5...Nikki came to me with strong depth but, just as strong of a butt wink. We worked together in the beginning to fix this mainly with just trying out a few different stances. She added drills that helped increase her mobility, range of motion and flexibility. She is working in a deficit so she's shedding fat AND, her strength is blazing through the roof with a 70lb increase in her 5 rep max in 4 months.
In reference to my last post on squats...I can't even remember how many women I know who've been told to just avoid squatting altogether because of an issue like this...but, when confronted with a problem like this, I'm more excited to work on it.
When you're able to fix an issue in a specific lift, more often than not, it's indicative of whether you'll be successful in your journey. If you avoid fixing issues that realistically can be fixed because you're scared or lazy on a consistent basis, that may be the first place you start if you find you aren't progressing and you want to change that...because you CAN! You are the writer of your fitness story and you can be a lifter or a runner or a Pilates guru or whatever it is you want to be, you just gotta be proactive at progressing in what you choose.
Does it take time? Yes. Does it take work? Hell yes! But, if it's an important lift like squatting and you have the ability to master it with time, consistency and patience then go for it!! You will thank yourself in the long run.

PSA: FOCUS ON THE WEIGHT YOU LIFT GOING UP RATHER THAN THE SCALE YOU STEP ON GOING DOWN. Losing weight isn't always the answer to getting the physique you want. Nicolette Fisher is making some major changes with recomposition by eating at maintenance and lifting heavy with a strong program. She added, "BOOOTAAAAY! 😍😍 I'm learning to embrace these thick old thighs but I'm loving how my b***y is shaping!
I was a straight up sausage in this bikini 2 months ago and it fits! And thank you! I'm really proud and working hard towards my goal!"
So proud of you babe and glad you took that leap of faith and trusted that fueling properly and lifting heavy can do wonders for your physique.

My client turned friend Kristin Trout came to me a while back starting at 198lbs, she took the reigns and after getting set up with an initial consultation, she lost 20lbs in 4 months. She blew me away and I was eager to work with her to take it to the next level. She signed up for full time coaching and as she got feedback to her lifting videos her form and effort drastically improved.

She was no longer afraid to lift heavy and understood in order to have any tone or definition she needed to have good form and consistently challenge herself during her lifting sessions. We weren't gonna have her end up "skinny fat" by doing a ton of cardio and starving herself (calories started at 2000).

She has gotten down to 173lbs and has come to a realization that continuing to cut right now is not what she wants to focus on. Her physical transformation has now manifested into a mental transformation. Kristin has learned through our time together that it is OKAY to focus on the weight she LIFTS going up rather than the scale she steps on going down. She enjoys her treats in moderation and continuously see strength gains in the gym.

Kristin is an amazing inspiration and I am honored to be a part of her journey. Excited to continue to help her get through valleys and see as many peaks in her fitness and nutrition journey as possible. Learning to love ourselves no matter what state we are in during our journey is the key to being successful. Because ultimately, why would you put in the work that is needed to change something you hate?

TLDR: love yo' self and LIFT HEAVY with a sustainable caloric intake that is suitable for your goals.

My clients SLAY ALL DAY!

"July 2016 vs Today. 9 months of tracking and weightlifting. Not where I want to be yet but super proud of my progress!! 5 weeks out from my first powerlifting meet! If you're debating getting a consult with one of the coach in this group do it --Jessica Foard has helped me every step of the way and I'm so glad to know I can message her anytime with questions! 😍😍😍"

Brianne Barthuly has blown me away! With her kidney transplant not holding her back at all she started with me wanting to shed body fat. She started with weightlifting and moved towards powerlifting and the desire to compete arose. She is now at maintenance and focusing on building strength! Your goals DO NOT always have to revolve around fat loss, building strength is an excellent way of measuring progress and is a very attainable goal especially if you aren't in a caloric deficit. Keep killing it babe! I am always here for you and can't wait to see what you can accomplish at your first meet!!!

***Admin Client Post (this is a bit long, fair warning)***Rebecca Hawks Baggett reached out to me at the end of December last year after she had gotten her macros done from someone outside the group. She was wanting to talk about coaching and having a plan set up for her. When she sent me her stats and pics I was amazed at what I saw. She was perfect in my eyes, perfect weight, perfect bf %, perfect shape. She stand 5’10” tall and at the time was 161.5lbs. She had unsuccessfully bulked and was just not really happy where she was. So she insisted on wanting to improve because she has a trip coming up in April and she wanted to give herself some time to cut a bit so she could unwrapped some beautiful muscle she has.

I wanted though, to talk to her and convey that she did not HAVE TO cut. We are so bombarded all the time with diet diet diet and cardio cardio cardio. I suggested, since she had the trip coming up and bulking was not what she wanted to do atm, maintenance with potential recomp. She definitely seemed open to it, but still was also kind of set on cutting.

I make no judgments about what my clients goals are as long as they are healthy for the body and mind. We decided that we would do a slight cut, very slowly and combine that with a STRONG lifting program if she promised to be open to either maintenance or bulking in the future. WE WERE SET!! Rebecca was has done absolutely amazing! The first two weeks were smooth although hunger did play a role. We focused on correcting her form with squats and really dialing in on mobility and flexibility drills. She smashed the workouts as best as she could given the deficit factor.

Three weeks into it we hit a speed bump and Rebecca overate on her macros. I gave her the option to try and balance out the overages (which she tracked anyway) and she did do a bit of that but just (rightfully so) was not able to balance it all out. We talked about it and we calmed down and refocused, we were ready to take on the next week and maintain the deficit. BUT, again the fourth week came and the hunger took over, she overate again and felt really sh*tty about it.

This is when my job gets tricky. Do I try and keep her in a deficit and push her a bit more? Or, do I remind her that SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO CUT? I picked option B. We looked at a comparison from when we started with progress pics, weight, and tape measure. Low n behold, inches were lost, progress pics showed improvement, and the scale DID DECREASE 2lbs, even with the overeating (which she tracked anyway).

We decided, together, it was time for a break. With two whole months until her trip, we decided that we are going to take a diet break for the month of February in the form of a 350g carb increase one day out of the week, preferably around a leg day. We are going to eliminate the hunger issue, focus on smashing the lifting sessions with strong form and RPE levels on the higher end. Taking this break, I am 100% confident will be the key to what Rebecca needs in order to have a successful cut in March and shed the last bit of fat she wants so she can strut her beautiful bod on the beaches of Tahiti.

Rebecca, working with you has been an absolute pleasure. You are an inspiration to me and all of the women here. Your daughter is so lucky to have a STRONG and beautiful woman who is both self-aware, and exponentially increasing her patience and kindness towards herself. You are setting a wonderful example and I am lucky to be a part of your journey. Let keep up the amazing work and continue to progress both your physical AND mental states

My client, Kristen Tout, eating 2000 calories and tracking macros dropped 22 POUNDS in 4 months. She is doing simply shredded for fitness and getting stronger whilst maintaining her caloric deficit.
