Lighten LA is the co creation of Maria Gregori and Mary Kathryn de Mahy, two passionate and unconventional women who have been friends for almost 20 years. Since meeting in the enchanted Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Santa Fe, they’ve been dreaming and scheming about how to create lives full of joy and meaning. They have dedicated themselves professionally and in their personal lives to helping people to honor themselves, to honor life and to honor our beautiful planet by embodying gratitude and respect for every living being.
In 2015 the universe gifted founder, Maria with a life changing energy process called Access Bars® that ended the anxiety attacks she had endured for as long as she could remember. When Maria shared Bars with Mary Kathryn, the session released frustrations and judgments that were preventing her from pursuing her passion with joy. They quickly realized that this energy process was more effective at creating change in people's lives and on the planet than anything else they had tried.
The universe gifted these two friends again, when independently of one another, they decided to move to Los Angeles at the exact same time. They decided to turn their dreams into reality by creating Lighten LA, a company that offers Free Bars Info Nights at our favorite community centers and local businesses, Bars Classes, and Bars Sessions. Our mission is to be leaders in consciousness for millennials and the next generation by teaching young people to gift, receive, and share these easily accessible processes with their own friends and communities. In doing so we seek to create a wave of consciousness that will spread throughout and beyond Los Angeles to create a new possibility for the future. We envision a world where people live with the peace, joy, and purpose that is our birthright as beings on this planet. From this new space we can all choose to live lives that honor ourselves, each other, and all of life on this beautiful, powerful, ever gifting every receiving Earth.
