For Roberto, stability once felt out of reach. Growing up in foster care, Roberto entered adulthood without stability or support. Housing felt impossible... until he found Wellnest. With guidance from his case manager and our Housing Services team, Roberto found a place to call home, and the foundation to heal and move forward. From powerful conversations to joyful celebrations, every moment this year was made special because of our incredible supporters.

Together, we hosted community-focused events like our Mental Health Awareness Month event, we gathered in purpose at our Evening of Impact donor cultivation event, we celebrated leadership and inspiration at LA Magazine's "Women of Impact", supported children and families at our Back to School Back Pack Distribution event, and golfed for good at Swing for a Cause! ⛳🎒💫

This holiday season, Wellnest Intensive Services hosted an Adopt-A-Family shopping experience for four families facing significant financial hardship due to job loss, immigration-related challenges, and other unforeseen circumstances. Pictured here is one of the families after they were able to purchase essential items and experience a bit of stability during the holidays. This family has been navigating financial hardship for over a year following the loss of employment by the mother’s partner. Their situation has been further complicated by their immigration status, limiting access to stable work and certain forms of assistance.

Throughout this time, our team has provided ongoing support by connecting them to available financial and community resources. Their case manager, Abigail, helped the family secure new housing when they could no longer afford their previous apartment. Since then, the family has relied primarily on CalWORKs and CalFresh, though recent reductions in CalFresh benefits have created additional strain. Despite these challenges, they continue to utilize every resource available and demonstrate remarkable resilience.

💛 Stacey and Noah: A Supportive Healing Journey

Stacey’s world felt like it was unraveling when her son Noah was just two and a half. Overwhelmed, unsure who to trust, and carrying trauma from her past, she never imagined that a single connection could begin to change everything.

But through Wellnest’s Early Intervention program, and the steady support of a therapist who truly saw her, Stacey found the tools, courage, and hope to rebuild her life for herself and her son.
