Hello all,

There are no words for the true devastation and distress on all levels the state of my home / city of Los Angeles, CA is in right now. The trauma is real and if you’d like to support us, I recommend first researching about PTSD / Complex PTSD and become trauma informed. Please don’t take things personal as we try and regulate deep trauma responses, shock, grief, inexplicable loss and displacement at this time.

Gentleness, courage and kindness matters more than I can express right now. Love is a verb. And I want to thank so many for the love I’ve experienced from my community when they themselves are deeply suffering as well. Please, BE the stranger that is courageous and kind because we really have no idea what people are going through and gentleness is truly deeply healing and needed at this time more than ever.

Please and thank you for all the love and compassion on this city and its beautiful people and animals.

Los Angeles is stepping up into its purest form… courageous and kind.

Having been a place and people that is deeply misunderstood, resilient, visionary and refined by the pressures of numerous and diverse forces over time, perhaps we were born for such a time as this.

Here are numerous resources for those offering & needing help in Los Angeles, CA.

While things are like a real life horror movie, humanity is rising up and it’s the most inspiring time to be alive.

Personally, I’ve evacuated from my home and am safe, but working to maintain my health, livelihood and living conditions. Yet, I am in deep gratitude, joy, peace and resilience in it all.

Hi! I’m Lindsey “Swan” McEvoy, Au.D. The Art of Hearing is a business I became active with in 2017.

As a Doctor of Audiology and Dispensing Audiologist, I provide mobile hearing healthcare and education. My specialty is hearing conservation for the music industry as I help music artists, crews, fans or anyone in loud environments protect their hearing.

Using the art of working with people and science of hearing healthcare, my passion is to practically serve and authentically impact others.

Just a small town girl living in a big world. Living my dream in Los Angeles and making a life that I don’t want a vacation from. Doing my passion for work, having courage, being kind and being my own kind of beautiful.
