Top picture: White filling gone bad 💩😨. Over time, especially with large composite restorations, shrinkage occurs at a more rapid rate which creates micro gaps between the restoration and the tooth. When not cared for properly, decay will occur, shown in this picture. Bottom picture, a beautiful conservative onlay, a lab fabricated restoration, that doesn’t shrink and when properly cemented, can last for a very long time 🤗😁 swipe ⬅️ for more pictures.
