Penelope Starr-Karlin, PsyD, MFT Achieving loving relationships with others and self. Penelope is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Contemporary Relational Psychoanalyst. G.

Penelope approaches the work of therapy with a warm and accessible style. As an MFT she has a special interest in helping individuals with their relationships, and most especially with their selfhood and self-actualization. Penelope is a Training and Supervising Analyst, and core faculty, at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, LA. She is an Associate Editor for The International Journal of Psychoanalytic Self Psychology. She gives papers at analytic conferences and writes for psychoanalytic journals. She teaches, supervises, and trains therapists in intersubjective-systems theory, the contemporary relational psychoanalytic systems theory of Robert D Stolorow, George Atwood, Bernard Brandchaft, and Donna Orange. Penelope has also received extensive training in the ideas of C. Jung, James Hillman, and Heinz Kohut.
