Most people don’t recognize grooming until it’s already happening.

It doesn’t look obvious.
It doesn’t sound dangerous.
It sounds… familiar.

“This is our secret.”
“You’re so mature.”
“Don’t tell your parents.”

That’s how it starts.

Predators don’t lead with force — they lead with language.

If your child doesn’t know how to recognize it,
they won’t know when to question it.

Teach them the phrases.
Teach them the red flags.
Teach them that secrets about adults are never safe.

Because awareness isn’t paranoia — it’s protection.

Stay aware. Stay loud.

Experience seeing what can happen at sleepovers.
Experience watching what happens when instincts get ignored in everyday places — grocery stores, parking lots, public spaces.

Experience witnessing families fall apart after oversharing their children online.

This isn’t judgment. It’s protection.

If I offer you a bottle of water and you say yes—that’s a yes in that moment.

It doesn’t mean I owe you every bottle I have.
It doesn’t mean you get to take more.
It definitely doesn’t mean you can force it out of my hand.

Same rules apply to boundaries.
A past “yes” does not override a present “no.”

Teach it early. Respect it every time.

This should make every parent FURIOUS.

A 5-year-old girl—lured away while playing outside her home—was seriously harmed by two CHILDREN in what investigators are calling a targeted, violent attack.

Now the system is questioning whether those kids even understand what they did.

But let’s be very clear— this level of behavior does not come out of nowhere.

It’s learned.
It’s modeled.
And somewhere… it was ignored.
