Today marks the last day of Pride Month. While it’s been a month that marks great progress, happenings around the world in recent weeks also mark how progress is not static and is something that we actively must put effort towards.

Enabally was created based on the belief that a bright future is only guaranteed to the extent that we evolve. That we can make positive change, stand for rights that respect the well-being of families and help their children flourish. To all the families, children, friends, and colleagues out there, I share your fears, anger and frustrations. Let’s move into this next month energized by the progress that has been made… and that needs to be made. ❤️ 🌈

Today, if you as a parent have a concern about your child’s development or behavior, you’re likely told to wait until your next pediatrician appointment. There you’ll be told to wait and see until your next visit or you’ll be referred for “services” but with little guidance to navigate a complicated, fragmented and long process. Then, you’ll likely be placed on a waitlist for weeks or even months before in person services begin… all of this before you get advice from an expert on how to help your original concern in the first place. Even with SO much info available on social media, online, through friends and the community… it can be hard to navigate through the world of child development specialists, strategies, and resources to find help that works.
I get that. As a pediatric Occupational Therapist, I often heard “we tried that, but it didn’t work”. I know now that it’s as much of WHAT strategy or support I recommended as it was HOW it was used and implemented.
Enabally focuses on making sure that we find a solution that works for you, your child and within your real life.
