Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, but it’s also one of the most preventable and treatable when caught early.

At Tower Dermatology, we encourage patients to take a proactive approach to their skin health.

Here are a few simple but powerful ways to reduce your risk:

• Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 30+ daily, even on cloudy days
• Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours when outdoors
• Avoid peak sun hours between 10 AM and 4 PM
• Wear protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses
• Schedule an annual full-body skin exam with a board-certified dermatology provider
• Monitor your moles using the ABCDE rule (Asymmetry, Border, Color, Diameter, Evolving)
