Over the weekend, SRB participants, friends, and family set sail on a wonderful cruise down to Ensenada, Mexico. 🌊⚓

One of the most inspiring moments from the trip was seeing Denice on the left, 74 years young, riding horses on the beach alongside SRB board member Melissa on the right. 🐎✨ Denice once thought she’d never have the chance to ride a horse at her age—but this moment proves otherwise. With little to no adaptation, we can do anything.

At SRB, we don’t do different things, we do things differently. 💙

Have you seen SRB checking in from Cebu, Philippines and wondered why?

This past week, SRB’s president Rolando Romero and Darren (aka Big Darren, aka D) officially launched our new self-funded Ambassador Program .

The Ambassador Program brings together members of the blind and visually impaired community from different countries to share experiences—the struggles, the differences, and the unique ways each of us lives with blindness.

In Cebu, we came together to show what SRB participants do—like bowling—while our Cebuano counterparts showed us it’s possible to go scuba diving! (Two of our participants couldn’t make the trip to Cebu for personal reasons, which is why only Roland and Darren represented SRB this time.)

Roland and Darren also visited businesses that hire the blind and visually impaired, spent time at the Mandaue SPED School , checked out local massage clinics, and ate at Dubby’s , a restaurant that employs persons with disabilities.

Together with the Mandaue Blind Association , SRB co-hosted a Blind Bowling Afternoon where 30 participants enjoyed games and lunch. To top it off, Roland and Darren also showed up with 30 refurbished canes and other blindness aids to give out.

And this is just the beginning. The SRB Ambassador Program will continue—country by country—connecting blind people with other blind people around the world. 🌍

SRB’s Dodger Game #2 is officially in the books.
Today marked our biggest event ever—with 100 participants, volunteers, friends, and family joining us at Dodger Stadium to cheer on the Boys in Blue as they faced off against the Washington Nationals.

The atmosphere was electric. For many, it was their first time experiencing a Major League game. For others, it was another meaningful outing filled with connection, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

A huge thank you to the Los Angeles Dodgers organization for welcoming us and helping make this day so special. Your hospitality and support mean the world to our community.

We’re incredibly grateful to every volunteer and supporter who helped make this outing happen. More to come, but today was something we’ll never forget.
