The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC’s Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology is a unique facility that unites world-class researchers in a variety of disciplines centered around structures of the craniofacial region. Since its inception in 1991, CCMB has been home to several major discoveries and has attracted top researchers from around the world.

The JumpStart Program creates pathways for underrepresented undergraduates toward Ph.D. programs. Collaborating with USC schools and programs, JumpStart provides 10-week summer research opportunities across diverse Ph.D. disciplines. From STEM to social sciences and humanities, these research openings span labs and faculty projects. Chosen students closely collaborate with faculty hosts, dedicating their time each week to in-person research, and nurturing a transformative learning experience.
