"Elliott is already revealing himself as a boy of remarkable distinction. He’s curious, endlessly observant, and carries an austerity rare in someone so small. He’s transitioned from just watching his brother to fully interacting with him — testing boundaries and learning the social etiquette of brotherhood.
He watches (intently), considers his options, and only then decides. And once decided, there is no persuading him otherwise. It’s his way or not at all.
In those moments of resolve I catch unmistakable glimpses of his Apa, tempered by traits we know must come from the donor’s side… qualities we are only just beginning to decipher.
The combination produces a character both strong and enigmatic, a strong will currently contained within the smallest of frames. I find myself wondering, almost daily, how such a desire to double down, and commit to his own decision making will unfold as he grows.
