Patient with a large right mandible lesion, which was diagnosed as an odontogenic keratocyst (OKC). These lesions have high recurrence rates if not removed completely. In a case like this complete resection of the area can cause a cosmetic defect, numbness of the lip and lower jaw, and major surgical procedures to reconstruct the jaw defect after removal. The conservative treatment is to decompress the cystic cavity with making a window in the jaw bone so the patient can irrigate and flush out until the cavity becomes smaller in size to go back and remove the cyst and treat appropriately.
