FEVERS: ...ARE AMAZING!
WHAT??? Aren't we supposed to FEAR it?!
Fevers = your amazing body enhancing its immune-protective mechanisms during infection!
Lets take a look at the SCIENCE behind this...
FIRST off, why NOT use drugs?
Drugs can help with SYMPTOMS, but will do more HARM than good... It will prolong your sickness by weakening your immune system.
IBUPROFEN, ADVIL, MOTRIN, NAPROXEN (NSAIDS).
Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatories DEPLETE IRON AND FOLATE. Iron and folate work together to help our red blood cells (oxygen transport within the body). Continuous supply of oxygen to the tissue is vital for the healing process and for resistance to infection.
TYLENOL.
Tylenol depletes GLUTATHIONE, which will prolong a fever.
The antioxidant, glutathione, keeps your liver healthy, and detoxifies poisons from your bloodstream. Glutathione boosts your cellular energy and immune system, which helps fight infections like colds. Glutathione is needed in the cells and tissues of the body to keep you healthy.

So how are FEVERS "AMAZING" & WHAT should we do to HELP it?
An ALLOPATHIC Dr will give you willow bark which will lower your fever like aspirin.We don't want to be allopathic. We want to be VITALISTS. HOLISTIC. Look at the body and see how it functions.
AMAZING SCIENCE BEHIND FEVERS:
When the body temperature goes up, the immune system kicks in. Proportionate to that rise you get larger:
a. MACROPHAGES (specialized cells involved in the destruction of bacteria and other harmful organisms... can present antigens to T cells and initiate inflammation by releasing molecules (known as cytokines) that activate other cells,
b. HELPER T CELLS (are arguably the most important cells in adaptive immunity, as they are required for almost all adaptive immune responses,
c. KILLER T CELLS (called cytotoxic or cytotoxic because they possess special molecular weapons that enable them to directly attack and destroy other cells displaying targets they rcognize ie.virus infected cell or cancerous cell),
d. B CELL (type of white blood cell that makes infection-fighting proteins called antibodies...your bodies defense against harmful pathogens(virus, bacteria, parasites), body kicks in to action full force.
HOW CAN WE HELP OUR FEVERS:
RAISE YOUR TEMPERATURE. SWEAT IT OUT.
1. TAKE a HOT epsom salt bath (no added ingredients). The magnesium in the salt will activate VitD in your body. Your skin is the largest organ and will absorb the magnesium from the salt.
-1-2 cups in a tub. 20 min.
Magnesium assists in the activation of vitamin D, which helps regulate calcium and phosphate homeostasis. All of the enzymes that metabolize vitamin D require magnesium.
2. DRINK distilled water (pure water) with a tiny pinch of celtic sea salt for 82 balanced minerals (including several magnesiums). Yarrow tea or Cayenne Pepper tea will warm you up. You can also drink organic coconut water (nothing added, not from concentrate).

3. WEAR WARM clothes and take a nap with 3 or so blankets.
-We then wake up in a sweat with NO FEVER.
-We thank our body for taking care of us.
-Fevers don't last long in our house. A few hours, if that.

Your body will not self destruct.
-If you had a recent Head trauma, then your body could be disregulated and you want to keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary.
STOP taking your temperature; it will worry you for no reason.
If you are taking clothes off, putting damp towels on the forehead, taking lukewarm baths, taking NSAIDS or tylenol, etc the fever will keep needing to heat up to do what it needs to do. It will prolong the fever and last DAYS if not WEEKS.
