Richo Akshare Parame Vyoman Yasmin Deva Adhi Vishwe Nisheduh. Translated this means, "The knowledge of the intent of Cosmic Intelligence is structured in Consciousness, within which all Devas reside." Simply put, Knowledge is structured in Consciousness. In Sanskrit the technique of Vedic Meditation is described as Nishkam Karma Yoga. This translates to "Unity through action hardly done." In this

case hardly means "barely," referring to the emphasis we hold on favoring effortlessness. Using what is known as a Bija ("seed") Mantra, the mind is effortlessly drawn to a more subtle, more quiet state of awareness. In this state of deep restfulness the body is able to release stresses. Less stress in the body and mind means better health and greater happiness for you. Vedic meditation has been practiced in India since time immemorial. The technique has come to the west in its purest form, helping millions of people live healthier happier lives. No special skills are required. Simple, Natural, Effortless. A rabbi was asked by one of his students “Why did God create atheists?” After a long pause, the rabbi finally responded with a soft but sincere voice. “God created atheists” he said, “to teach us the most important lesson of them all – the lesson of true compassion. You see, when an atheist performs an act of charity, visits someone who is sick, helps someone in need, and cares for the world, he is not doing so because of some religious teaching. He does not believe that God commanded him to perform this act. In fact, he does not believe in God at all, so his actions are based on his sense of morality. Look at the kindness he bestows on others simply because he feels it to be right. When someone reaches out to you for help. You should never say ‘I’ll pray that God will help you.’ Instead, for that moment, you should become an atheist – imagine there is no God who could help, and say ‘I will help you’.”

Ancient people most clearly had highly advanced understanding of mathematics, science and technology. As a student of Vaastu Architecture I marvel at all the remaining evidences of this truth about human history, which stretches back many many centuries (millenia) longer than the typical European version of history we grew up with. Part of this misunderstanding stems from the European worldview being clouded by Christian believe that the earth is only 5,000 years old. There has been a refusal to accept evidence of advanced civilizations existing much earlier than the accepted European view. That is starting to change thankfully.

Hidden within Jordan's sandstone canyons, the ancient city of Petra stands as a
testament to the remarkable civilization that created it. The Nabataeans, originally
nomadic Arab traders, settled in this harsh landscape around the 4th century BCE and
transformed it into one of antiquity's most impressive urban centers.
What truly distinguished the Nabataeans was their unparalleled mastery of water
engineering. In a region receiving less than six inches of rainfall annually, they developed
sophisticated systems to capture, store, and distribute every precious drop. Their
network included dams, cisterns, and ceramic pipes that prevented evaporation and
filtered sediment. This engineering marvel not only supplied a population of 30,000 but
also created lush gardens in the desert.
The city's iconic façades—most famously the Treasury (Al-Khazneh)—were carved
directly into the rose-colored sandstone cliffs. These structures represent only the
entrances to vast complexes extending deep into the rock. The Nabataeans oriented
these buildings to capture specific light effects during solstices and equinoxes, revealing
their astronomical knowledge.
Petra's strategic location at the crossroads of major trade routes enabled the
Nabataeans to amass tremendous wealth by controlling the incense and spice trades.
Rather than building a military empire, they maintained independence through
diplomacy, paying tribute to larger powers while preserving their autonomy.
Though annexed by Rome in 106 CE, Petra continued to thrive until changing trade
routes and earthquakes led to its gradual abandonment. The city remained largely
forgotten to the Western world until 1812, when Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig
Burckhardt rediscovered this architectural wonder, preserving the legacy of the
ingenious Nabataeans.

My Teacher, Dr Jessie Mercay posted this reminder this morning:
"Full moon in July signifies a celebration called Guru Purnima. It is a special day to honor Gurus. According to the Guru Gita, an ancient text on honoring the guru, the true Guru is within. That is, one's true guru is found in the Atman/soul/ cave of the heart. Throughout the centuries sages have been telling us to go within. That the real savior is within. There are human teachers or Gurus (guru is teacher) but their true task is to guide you to that inner sanctum."

As we celebrate this full moon night with gratitude in our mind and heart towards all the teachers who guided us to this moment, be reminded that the greatest Guru of all is your own Atman!

Be your own Guru, tap into the Universe within. It is already all there within you. We are here simply to facilitate that quest if you feel the pull to go inward. https://selfrecognitionmeditation.org/

Joyous Guru Purnima to you and yours!!

TONIGHT at 7:00pm on Zoom.
Free Introductory session on Self Recognition Meditation.

The only constant is Change. We all know this to be true. Some changes feel good, and others not so good. Our culture is going through a period of upheaval now, and it can be difficult to navigate our feelings around all of this rapid change which can overwhelm our limbic system and keep us in a Fight or Flight response (the sympathetic nervous system).

Meditation is a prescription-less, drug-free, no negative side effects, Easy way to help regulate your central nervous system (return to the Parasympathetic system) and tap into the brilliant Life Force Energy that already resides within you. We cannot stop the world from changing, but we can improve our resilience and adaptability to change. We can retrain our CNS to maintain calm alertness, to stay present, to remain open, to become better grounded and properly connected to our body (the Divine instrument of life).

Please join me on Zoom for a FREE no obligation informational session this Wednesday Evening at 7:00pm Los Angeles time. I will be talking about the technique I teach, Self Recognition Meditation - SRM®. This is a silent, eyes-closed practice done sitting comfortably. We have a very simple, very streamlined system for settling you into deep meditation. It is profoundly relaxing without spinning you out into space. We remain lucid, fully Aware in the deeply relaxed state, conditioning this natural state of calm alertness so that it carries on outside of meditation.

As our inner awareness grows with regular practice of SRM, we gain greater agency over our thoughts and feelings and have greater free will around the choices we are able to make from them rather than repeating conditioned reflexive responses.

SRM is an unique method based on the science of Pranava Veda and Vaastu shastras, developed by Dr Jessie Mercay. As a student of Vaastu architecture at the University of Mayonic Science and Technology, I have had the honor of being part of the SRM program development team. This method is the most embodied and productive meditation I have ever experienced.

We work with our innate Awareness and a mantra that is vibrationally compatible with each individual. There is no generic mantra selection. It is a custom built program for each person that takes your inherent blueprint and current state and goals into consideration.

This is a practice that can revolutionize your day to day experience. And it is ridiculously simple and easy to do. I encourage everyone who may be feeling a little unstable or uneasy right now to do their self a solid and learn this meditation technique. Learn to Recognize the Self that resides peacefully within.

Our Story

Richo Akshare Parame Vyoman Yasmin Deva Adhi Vishwe Nisheduh. Translated this means, "The knowledge of the intent of Cosmic Intelligence is structured in Consciousness, within which all Devas reside." Simply put, Knowledge is structured in Consciousness. In Sanskrit the technique of Vedic Meditation is described as Nishkam Karma Yoga. This translates to "Unity through action hardly done." In this case hardly means "barely," referring to the emphasis we hold on favoring effortlessness.

Think of it this way

Stress is the plague of the modern world. It becomes a health problem when it is persistent. Even low grade stress over time will compromise your health and vitality. You can think of stress in your body like dirt that accumulates on a window. Over time the dirt just appears, like residue of all our experiences, a natural consequence of living. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the glass (or with you!). Like a window with layers of dirt on it we simply want to cleanse our nervous system of all the layers of stresses that have built up over time. Vedic Meditation is a simple way to clear stress from the nervous system, creating a more healthy body and more positive mind. Think about how great a room looks after you wash the windows, and now imagine yourself with a clean nervous system, the perceptual window through which you experience absolutely everything in your life.

Vedic Meditation is not a religious practice. It does not replace or impose any religious view. It is also not a faith based practice, meaning it works whether you "believe" it will or not, doesn't matter. It is a simple mental technique that takes you into deep restfulness where your body naturally unwinds stress. It is easy to learn and very easy to do. It is a sustainable method of stress relief. No prescription needed. No harmful side effects. The benefits of daily practice are well documented and enjoyed by millions of people of all faiths and lifestyles around the world. Meditators can actually reverse their body age! Feel better. Look Better. Perform better.
