Not everything about healing has to be hard, deep, or heavy. Joy, play, laughter — these are sacred, too.

As a therapist who bridges inner work with spirituality, I’ve seen time and time again: when we make room for pleasure, silliness, connection, and delight — the healing often goes deeper.

Fun reconnects us to our aliveness. It brings us into the present moment. It reminds us that we are allowed to feel *good* — not just ‘healing.’

So many of us equate healing with struggle.
We believe growth must be hard, that transformation always means digging deep, confronting pain, or sitting in stillness.

But the truth is: joy is just as healing.
Play is just as sacred.

Laughter can be just as regulating for the nervous system as any breathwork practice.

You don’t have to earn joy. It’s part of the medicine.

So go dance, laugh, be ridiculous.

Let your soul breathe.

That’s spiritual work, too. ✨

Not everyone will celebrate your healing — but your journey isn’t meant to make others comfortable.

Stay grounded, stay growing, stay golden.
You’re allowed to take up space as your full self. ✨

Keep choosing alignment over approval, and growth over comfort. This is for you.

In therapy, we often learn that healing doesn’t come from pushing ourselves harder—but from allowing space.

Not everything needs to be fixed right now.
Some things need to unfold.

There is a sacred rhythm to healing.
When we soften our grip and release the need to control, we invite in grace.

Not everything is meant to be wrestled with—
Some truths are revealed in stillness.
Some healing happens when we let it happen.

Trust the current.
Your soul knows the way.

Don’t forget to be kind to the most important person in your life: you.

Each and every one of us has parts that we are still learning - still healing, still growing.

This is normal. Natural.

The truth is that growth is messy, progress isn’t linear and nobody has it all figured out. That’s a fallacy.

Live the life your inner child would want you to be living. The dreams they wanted. Let them live through you.

Allow yourself to celebrate the steps forwards and please, be gentle with the missteps.

Encourage yourself and nurture the parts of you that need it. We all need that.

We are always a “work in progress” and that’s beautiful.

The famous has always been “under construction” and we visit and awe at it! Do the same for yourself, your soul.

Feeling through our emotions builds evidence that we can actually sit with them and not be toppled over by them. We have to feel it to heal it. Our nervous systems need regulation otherwise healing is not even an option. Increasing our tolerance of the uncomfortable creates space for our emotions to move through us and clears the way for *better* things to come.

Pay attention to where you get triggered because that’s the way in. Your tiggers are pieces of information. They’re an opportunity. But without tools to manage and guide us as we navigate this daring process, we may actually harm ourselves even more.

Therapy is a great way to build insight and gain the tools to support your healing process.

It’s okay to grieve the identity that helped you survive.
Healing asks us to make space for the self who gets to live.

It’s okay to feel lost in the process. When pain no longer defines you, it can take time to remember who you are without it. That’s part of the healing, too.

You’re not alone in this experience.

It’s okay to come out from the shadows.

Shame begins to loosen its grip when stories are gently spoken into safe spaces.

When we are met with compassion instead of judgment, our wounds breathe, and healing quietly begins.

There is power in being heard — and freedom in being held.

This is something I say to my clients constantly.

It’s not about judgement - it’s about understanding.

In therapy, we explore what the information is trying to tell us with curiosity.

If we label our behaviors as good or bad or as right or wrong that can create a sense of shame. Let’s not add more shame on top of the shame that was probably projected onto us. This blocks self awareness and healing. When we stop judging we can actually understand. Ourselves and others.

Healing is sacred work.

The pain and trauma wasn’t your choice. Healing is.

You may still be carrying protection patterns that once kept you safe—but no longer serve you.

Responsibility doesn’t equal fault.
It’s an invitation to change.

With support, regulation, and boundaries, healing becomes possible.

Save this if you’re still sitting with this truth.
Share it with someone who might be, too.

When you avoid your challenges you prevent yourself from facing and processing the source of your pain. While you can temporarily escape your pain, it lies there hibernating bound to roar at a moments notice.

Over time, avoidance can -

Intensity emotions: Unacknowledged feelings often grow stronger, not weaker.

Create additional problems: You might start feeling anxious about the thing AND about avoiding it.

Limit Growth: Facing challenges builds resilience and confidence - avoiding them can shrink your world.

Delay Healing: Healing requires engagement with the pain, not detachment from it.

All in all, avoidance often trades short term relief for long term suffering.

To should or not to should. That is the question.

Give yourself a break. These rules we place on ourselves reverberate from society and limit true authentic expression of self.

Your path is your own.

Your timing is yours.

That is exactly what it needs to be.
