A British truck driver - Jakub Jan Konkel, 40, was sentenced to 13.5 years in prison yesterday (May 18) after authorities found $9.4M worth of blow hidden inside a legitimate SKIMS underwear shipment from the Netherlands.

Officials say the truck had a secret compartment built into the back doors holding 90kg of blow, and the driver allegedly agreed to transport it for just €4,500. Authorities confirmed neither SKIMS or Kim Kardashian or her team nor the clothing shipment itself were involved in the smuggling operation or had any knowledge of it.

The South African lioness lost her eyesight in the wild - a condition that normally doesn’t end well for a predator that relies on spotting and stalking prey. Yet Josie lived to 17 years old, well beyond the average lifespan of most wild lionesses.

Researchers and park officials observed something remarkable: her two adult daughters, Dawn and Duffy, adapted their hunting strategy around her blindness. Josie would remain still while prey focused on her, allowing her daughters to circle from the sides and make the kill. They also shared food with her and stayed by her side for years.

What makes the story even more fascinating is that lions aren't typically known for caring for elderly or disabled adults long-term. Yet Dawn and Duffy spent nearly five years helping their blind mother survive.

The oldest recorded wild lioness, Mathata, reached 18 years and 7 months. Josie came surprisingly close - despite being almost completely blind.

Nature is usually ruthless. Josie's story is a rare reminder that cooperation, family bonds, and survival can sometimes look a lot different than we expect.
