How do you know if a comment from meta that “you are in violation of” Facebook rules and are under consider for being shut down, is real or not? The first message came from someone written in Arabic, the next two were in English and had “meta” avatars 🤷🏻‍♀️🤔😬

We are officially no longer on mandatory evacuation. In fact this morning our neighborhood wasn’t even on the warning g list. Just wanted to share the good news and thank everyone for being so supportive of Jay and I. And I’m very grateful to the firefighters, law enforcement, and all the folks who have been relentlessly fighting this Lake Fire. I know they are still at it and I have my hopes up that they will get this fully contained soon! 🙏🌈🍾🥂🎉

Grateful for our firefighters, sheriffs… all the folks who are helping to contain and extinguish this — 🔥 Our home is under evacuation “warning”… it is not being mandated at this time though . Jay and I are back in LA— and it’s strange… but all I want to do is go back to Santa Ynez and “protect”my home, support my community, just “be” there— The sights of this fire are awe inspiring and also just awful. 😢

Patients, clients, folks over the years have asked me many questions about parenting. Well, I just commented on my sister Amy’s post acknowledging and celebrating our mom’s 84th birthday. As I wrote there:

“Mamma, you are so beautiful and inspiring! I want to be like you when I grow up!”

As I shared that sentiment I thought, “Yup, that’s the answer”… for most parenting questions the answer is (drum roll)… We want to be the parent that our children are inspired by and find beautiful— that they, all their lives— want to grow up and be like us!” ( The irony is, we look toward growing up — but always nurture our ever-present-child-within…)….
