Since its inception, SCFHC has been in the forefront committed to addressing healthcare disparities in a competent and linguistically appropriate manner. South Central Family Health Center has more than 140 staff members of which 25 are clinical staff who provide the direct medical services, treatment and care to patients.

This past weekend, our team, in collaboration with The Los Angeles Trust for Children's Health provided free screenings for children and families at the Los Angeles Unified School District 5K Health and Wellness Festival.

Events like this are especially meaningful during Children’s Dental Health Month, as we continue working to ensure every child has access to preventive care 🦷

This week, SCFHC’s leadership team, alongside Board Member Jan Brittain, joined community health center leaders from across the country at the National Association of Community Health Centers Policy & Issues Forum Conference in Washington D.C., to advocate for equitable access to health care for all.

SCFHC CEO Genevieve Filmaridorssian, together with her fellow CPCA Board members, met with Senator Alex Padilla Health Deputy to discuss federal priorities impacting community health centers and the patients we serve.

SCFHC’s Dr. Victor Arias, CMO, Gillian Bieller, Director of Behavioral Health and Board Member, Jan Brittian, visited Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove’s office to share updates on programs, highlight patient stories, and to discuss efforts to expand access to care in our service areas.

Together, we are ensuring that the voices of the communities we serve are represented in the conversations shaping the future of healthcare. 💙

Rain couldn’t stop us! 🌧️✨ SCFHC celebrated our 22nd Annual Toy Giveaway. We distributed toys, blankets, and arts & crafts to over 600 children, and provided nearly 300 families with nutritious food and essential groceries. A huge thank you to our staff, volunteers, and sponsors who made this event possible. Together, we helped make the holidays brighter for the families we serve!
