Since its inception, SCFHC has been in the forefront committed to addressing healthcare disparities in a competent and linguistically appropriate manner. South Central Family Health Center has more than 140 staff members of which 25 are clinical staff who provide the direct medical services, treatment and care to patients.

✨Meet Our Provider: April Canche, PA-C

April Canche is a dedicated Physician Assistant providing primary care at SCFHC. Her healthcare journey began when she would translate for her father at doctor visits, inspiring her to become the kind of provider she wished he had.

Today, April is proud to care for a diverse community where she uses her bilingual skills to build trust and break down communication barriers.

Outside of work she enjoys staying active, exploring nature with her dog, and spending quality time with loved ones. Thank you, April for the care and heart you bring to SCFHC 💙

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! A time to recognize that caring for our minds is just as important as caring for our bodies.

At SCFHC, we understand that mental health is a journey, not a destination. As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), we provide mental health care, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, and peer support to our communities.
