Happy World Health Day!

One way to improve – or maintain – your health is to make small adjustments to the things you do and foods you eat each day. This is especially important if you work from home! Recent studies have shown that working from home is associated with decreased overall physical and mental well-being.

Regenera Medical founder, Elroy Vojdani, MD, IFMCP (Dr. V), recently appeared on FOX 29 Good Day Philadelphia morning show to share tips on how to stay healthy while working from home.

Here are a few of Dr. V’s favorite tips:
• Take a brief walk every 30 minutes to keep you active and support blood flow to the brain – which will keep you sharp.
• Use a standing desk or even a treadmill desk for periods of time throughout the day.
• Munch on healthy snacks like nuts – such as walnuts or hazelnuts – celery sticks or olives.
• Take a 5-10 minute meditation break twice a day to give your brain a rest.

According to scientists at UCLA, tightening and relaxing muscle groups for 10 minutes before bed reduces back pain and restless sleep by 70%. This technique is called progressive muscle relaxation – it activates the body’s relaxation response while improving flexibility, easing muscle spasms and reducing overall body pain.

Each day we meet with patients that are at their wits' end trying to find the cause of their chronic medical condition(s). Our mission is to accurately identify and heal chronic medical conditions before they irreversibly consume your life.

Our Approach

The first thing you can expect, is that we will listen to you – carefully. We’ll discuss your medical history, your lifestyle and your symptoms. You can count on us not to dismiss your feelings, your observations, or how your chronic medical condition is preventing you from leading the life you deserve. We will combine my medical training and knowledge, along with state-of-the-art lab testing and scientifically proven methods to accurately diagnose and treat your condition. Treatment will include a customized nutritional and lifestyle guide, along with supplements and – if needed – medication. We won’t stop until I get to the root of your condition, so that together we can help you become well and on the road to a happier and healthier life.
