68 firefighters responded to an attic fire at The Magic Castle in Hollywood Hills last night, one of LA’s most iconic venues.

Crews arrived to find flames in the attic of the historic three-story Victorian structure. Patrons evacuated to the parking lot while firefighters worked to contain the blaze. The fire was knocked down in 41 minutes. No injuries were reported.

The cause is under investigation, though LAFD noted roof work may have been a factor. Salvage and overhaul operations continued after the blaze was extinguished.

A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle during a street takeover at Century Blvd and S Western Ave in Los Angeles.

The driver fled the scene as officers worked to disperse the crowd. It remains unclear if gunfire occurred, and no arrests have been made. Authorities continue to investigate.

A late-night search turned into a happy reunion after a community member helped locate two missing French Bulldogs near Stone St & Atwood St. Chance and Love, last seen without collars earlier in the evening, were safely found and returned to their owner thanks to the efforts of a Citizen user and local support.
