We’re excited to share a new weekly support group for young people in our community.

Seeking Safety is a trauma-informed group focused on building coping skills, fostering connection, and creating a safe space for healing.

🗓 Every Tuesday
⏰ 6PM – 7PM
📍 7120 Franklin Avenue, Hollywood

This group is free and open to youth ages 16–25.

Advocating for the voices we serve.

Last week, Aviva Family & Children's Services participated in the California Alliance of Child and Family Services 2026 Conference.

Our leadership team— Amber Rivas, CEO; Belen Arredondo, MS HCM, SPHR, VP of HR; Amy West, LCSW, AVP of Mental Health Services; and Alma Barraza, MSW, Director of Impact & Innovations—met with representatives from the offices of Assemblymembers

Assemblymember Nick Schultz(District 44), Assemblymember Jose Luis Solache (District 62), and (District 55).

Together, we discussed the future of Foster Family Agencies and the importance of state investment in programs and services that support children, youth, and families.

We’re proud to strengthen our collective voice alongside fellow changemakers across Southern California, including St. Anne's Family Services, The Village Family Services, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, and Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services.
