Like many people, Frank was ā€œscared and embarrassedā€ about getting a colonoscopy and having such a personal procedure done. ā€œThe idea of it made me feel uneasy,ā€ he recalls. However, the experience was nothing like what he feared.

Week 1 of the Be Seen tour brought us to New York City for two incredible gatherings — nights full of stories, impact, and real conversations about colore**al cancer prevention.

In rooms filled with survivors, caregivers, and allies, we shared why early detection matters, why stigma still holds people back, and why taking action now can change the outcome for someone you love.

Seeing the community come together to learn, listen, and commit to prevention was a powerful way to start the tour — and a clear signal that awareness is only the beginning.

Thank you to , , and for hosting and providing the space for awareness to thrive šŸ

This week I stood by hundreds of colore**al cancer advocates from around the country to show congress why colore**al cancer, the number one cancer inflicting young adults, should have dedicated research funding.

Yes, you read that correctly - despite being one of the most common types of cancer, no government funding is directly allocated to colore**al cancer research.

We spent this day advocating not only for ourselves, but for future generations that will be touched by this disease.

This is what progress looks like in actionšŸ’™

Hearing the word ā€œcancerā€ provokes numerous fears, worries and even memories of a loved one fighting the battle. One of the scariest moments of Natalie’s life was hearing that an immediate family member had been diagnosed with cancer. But it wasn’t just any family member, and it wasn’t just cancer…. her sister, her best friend, had just been diagnosed with Stage 3 Re**al Cancer.

After losing his son to colon cancer and his own early-onset cancer experience, George is dedicated to eradicating the disease, especially colore**al cancer.

It had been a little over 3 years since George did his last Cologuard test, which had been negative. Despite having no symptoms, he was inspired to follow through with the test in dedication to raising awareness for colore**al cancer screening. To his surprise, his Cologuard test result was ā€œAbnormal,ā€ prompting the need for a colonoscopy.

Some conversations do more than inspire. They recalibrate how you live. Our conversation with Liz Healy on The BE SEEN Network podcast was one of those moments.

Liz is living with stage four colore**al cancer. She knows her time is finite. And yet she spends her days not shrinking, not retreating, but advocating. Speaking. Handing out blue ribbons. Turning pain into purpose with clarity and courage. And encouraging those she loves to carry the mission forward.

Liz does not define being seen as attention or visibility. She defines it as impact.

ā€œIf my story saves one life,ā€ she said, ā€œthen I’ve been seen.ā€
