Morning Yin, coming to Sellwood! I’ve been teaching Yin yoga for 11 years now and am excited to add a Yin class to the schedule . Yin is known to be a relaxing practice, but a Morning Yin sequence is designed differently. We’ll still hold the poses for 3-5 minute at a time, but you won’t be finishing class in a puddle on the floor. Come see for yourself what starting your day with Yin yoga can do for your body and mind. Class begins September 9 and will be every Tuesday from 9-10a, in studio or livestream from home.

This is what yoga looks like for me these days. Not always a fetal position, but almost always in this sliver of carpet with baby stuff around and often a baby, too. It’s not picture perfect. It’s not even time I set aside. It’s time I happen upon. Practice wherever you can, whenever you think to do it. It always helps.

Open Awareness is like zooming out on your experience of life...imagine being lost in the woods but suddenly able to fly. Lifting out of the trees and seeing that there's more than just a forest down below.

Yoga is a vast system of practical practices that are used to soothe, invigorate, and balance your body, mind, emotions, energy, and spirit so you can find yourself Here and Now. Through yoga we cultivate honesty with ourselves and step into our power.
