Hello Friends-
I’m reaching out to you as I’m participating in a fundraiser for a planned family reunion in Little Rock Arkansas in June of next year. Starting at 3PM today and for the next four days only, we’ll be raising money to defray our gathering expenses through the sale Double Good Popcorn. We are able to retain 50% of our sales. I’m hoping you can help by making a purchase!
So, why should you support me in this undertaking, especially when you can purchase popcorn at Costco?
1. The popcorn comes in a wide variety of yummy flavors, sets and price options, and you’re sure to find something you’ll enjoy. Have pity on me and buy something.
2. The timeframe for the sale is a very short window, which means minimal emails badgering you to make a purchase. Have pity on me and buy something.
3. In all likelihood, if you or your family has had a fundraiser in the past involving cookies, candies, holiday cards or a silent auction, I’ve supported you with a purchase or a donation. Have pity on me and buy something.
4. I don’t work in an office environment and can’t easily generate sales by pressing my mournful face against glass windows begging co-workers to have pity on me and to buy something.
Our reunion will be at the height of summer in Arkansas (our family’s place of origin), and if you know me at all you know I don’t do well with humidity, heat or bugs. Have pity on me and buy something.
