About Us
Clarendon Assisted Living is designed for residents who are sixty years of age or older. A group of five board and care homes, accommodating six residents each, comprise our senior communities on quiet residential streets in both the Woodland Hills and Lake Balboa areas of the San Fernando Valley. Residents at Clarendon experience a lifestyle that replicates their own – living in a real home rather than a large hotel-like setting, as a member of an extended family. The goal of our communities is to provide a nurturing, comfortable and safe environment where the love, care, and attention to our residents is second to none. We know each resident by name, not just by room number, and we tailor our services to each individual’s needs. We understand that choosing a senior home is a monumental decision, both practically and emotionally. We are here to help you and your loved ones navigate this process. The core of what makes Clarendon Assisted Living such a wonderful place is our amazing caregivers. We are blessed with a group of highly skilled and loving individuals that have been with us for a very long time. Whereas the average caregiver turnover in an assisted living community is approximately 6 months, our average tenure is several years. This allows our residents to establish lasting bonds with their caregivers, and allows the staff to learn the particulars of each resident. Each day, our caregiver-to-resident ratio is 1:2. This ensures that always have enough caregivers to attend to all of our residents’ needs. We also have optional awake night staffing for residents that require that additional level of care. But the ratio doesn’t tell the whole story. To be a caregiver at Clarendon Assisted Living is not a job, it is a calling. Our caregivers dedicate their hearts to our beloved residents, which is why Clarendon is not a facility.
