🧡 There’s nothing quite like an announcement from Taylor to shake me out of whatever rut I’ve been in.

Today, the sparkly orange that descended upon us brought me right back to last year in my hometown — a night unlike anything I’d ever experienced. New Orleans was taken over. Postcards for voters were being written in the hotel lobby. Friendship bracelets were traded with strangers. There was so much love and understanding.

Taylor said that night we’d never think of her songs the same way again, and she was right.

I danced next to the man who had recently become my husband — a “Love Story” I never thought I’d have. “Shake It Off” hit differently after starting to process years of slt shaming and whispered judgments while I explored my own s*xuality when I was young. The surprise country songs tugged at my roots, heartbreaks, and the parts of the South I’ve felt disconnected from. She wore the LSU colors I wore as a little girl. Every detail felt deeply personal.

Looking back at the footage today reminded me that dancing, belting songs and letting the tears flow is the best when energy is feeling stuck.

To my fellow Swifties — I’m riding this wave of inspiration with you. 🧡

It’s coming up on the six-year anniversary of the scariest—and most important—decision I’ve ever made.

I didn’t know I was depressed during pregnancy. After returning to work in a pediatric hospital, my symptoms escalated: detachment from my baby, intrusive thoughts, and suicidal ideation. I asked for help, but none was available where I lived.

So I bought a one-way ticket to Los Angeles with my five-month-old in my arms and entered a perinatal mental health program.

We stayed for four months. It wasn’t easy. Nothing about that time was. But it gave me the space to begin again.

Recovery has not been linear. It’s ongoing—held together by therapy, medication, community, and a constant effort to care for myself while caring for my child.

If you’re in it right now: you’re not alone. There are people, programs, and lifelines. And it’s okay to ask for help.

Swipe for the full story and a list of resources that might help.

Still soaking in the magic of my weekend at - days filled with learning, growth, and deep connection. Sharing a piece of this experience with my daughter made it even more profound. Having her in my lap as I reflected on the transition into parenthood was an emotional, full-circle moment—one I’ll cherish forever.

Just being in this space, surrounded by such wisdom and warmth, was pure magic. I’m beyond grateful for this community and incredibly excited to now be accepting clients for birth support!

Thank you, , for such an enriching and transformative training. My heart is full.

Today’s Infant Play Pod was a cozy and sweet time where we talked about self-love, how s*x changes after baby, and ways to nurture love within ourselves and our relationships—especially by celebrating the “small wins.”

One simple practice shared was taking a picture of the highlight of your day, whenever that moment happens, and sharing it with your partner at the end of the day. Today, my “small win” was taking the time to give my daughter the fun hairstyle she requested—it made us both smile!

We also enjoyed tea and treats courtesy of , a perfect reminder that a little sweetness can go a long way. Looking forward to another week of nurturing community next week! There are still spots for this series that meets Fridays at 11AM - register via link in bio ❤️

In 2009, a friend handed me a well-worn copy of Even Cowgirls Get The Blues, and it changed my life forever. Since then, I’ve passed my copy along to people I love, hoping to share the fire it ignited in me.

Tom Robbins was one of the first to show me the beauty that exists between two seemingly opposite spaces at the same time—a liminal space where magic happens. Eloquent and crude. Graceful and sticky. Peaceful and chaotic. I recognized something familiar in the wildness of his stories, something I felt so deeply in my soul that I often used Jitterbug Perfume as a barometer. I even gave my copy to a man on our first date, trusting he would feel its spark. That man became my husband.

Learning of Tom’s passing has made me reflect on what his stories have meant to me. So, wherever in this wild universe you are, Mr. Robbins, I send you my untamed gratitude.

May you rest in wildness. đź’«
