PRESS RELEASE - 24th March 2025: MMAARS - PECA OFFERING NEXTGEN ANALOG AQUANAUTICS & AQUA-MEDICS TRAINING PROGRAMS. The Mmaars (formerly Mars Academy USA, MAU). team and co-founder, Dame Commander Susan Ip-JewellMD DCEG, DOD, are excited to announce this unique ANALOG ASTRONAUT PROGRAM as our vanguard organization in analog astronautics will expand our training programs to the ocean and underwater environments. Our new training, called "The OCEANAUTICS - AQUANAUTICS" program, offers higher fidelity analog astronaut crew training and experiences, including opportunities to conduct advanced scientific research in the open ocean environment and to continue MMAARS unique SPACE "MARS" MEDICS training and our new AQUA-MEDICS training. In parternship with the pioneering PECA Interstellar Lab, and Avatarmedic, we are working in support of future deep space explorations and training commercial astronauts for planetary settlement.
MMAARS, Mars-Moon Astronautics Academy and Research Sciences, in partnership with PECA Interstellar Lab, is offering the NextGen analog aquanautics training program and pioneering the development of the first MOBILE, PORTABLE, EXPANDABLE Underwater habitat training facility. This habitat can be deployed in a body of water, e.g., lakes, oceans, or swimming pools, and is used for training future divers, analog astronauts, scientists, ocean explorers, scientists, and researchers. Currently, MMAARS is selecting an experienced crew of analog astronauts with scuba diving certification and basic medical training knowledge and skills.

FINALLY...announcing XPRIZE ANA Avatar FINALS next month in Long Beach, CA. Over 3 years ago, Susan Ip-Jewell and co-founder, John Hanacek, founded Avatarmedic Inc. (a visionary company offering Realtime, Remote, (medical) Relief for austere, isolated environments, and to compete in this $10 million competition. AvatarMEDIC was selected into the semi-finals! Although we will not complete in the finals it seeded our vision and dream and today the company is working and collaborating with government/academia/commerical and private communities. We are excited to see the outcome of the competiton and to support the winning teams!
