KUDOS TO KEVIN LOVE of the Cleveland Cavaliers for writing openly about his struggle with panic attacks and depression. Makes me feel hopeful about a world in which it's okay for young men to talk about this stuff. Yes, everyone is going through something!

Just saw "Heaven Is A Traffic Jam On The 405," this year's winner for best documentary short! Check it out below. It has such a hopeful, honest message. There were a few things that really struck me...

1. It's about a brilliant artist, Mindy Alper, who struggles with mental illness and finds the strength to persevere.

2. It reveals the ways that art-making can assist the process of self-discovery and emotional growth. Her large scale papier-mâché work is breathtaking.

3. It's directed by Frank Stiefel, a first-time Oscar winner at the age of 70, showing that you're never too old to try new things and set new goals.
